The NSS aims at promoting consciousness, national integration, participation of Youngman in community development, inculcating in them a sense of social responsibility, discipline and dignity of labour, community living, eradication combining the physical work with intellectual pursuit, organization of debates and sports, organization of entertainment programme carry out socio-economic surveys about different aspects of rural life combating calamities like flood, drought, famine, fire cyclone and above all mobilizing resources for the development of the community as whole.

There two separate units consisting of 50 volunteers both for boys and girls. Boy and girl, students interested in the scheme are enrolled by the NSS officers having their office in the college.

During holidays special camps of 10.15 days are organized in different areas (rural, urban, tribal, slum and college campus) to execute specific projects such as youth against dirt and disease, youth against national disintegration and youth against deforestation.

At the end of the session certificates are issued to participants on the basis of their performance.
